CARETAKING

”Connecting with animals, creating stories”

I have always felt a deep connection with animals. I can observe animals for hours, gaining their trust and capturing their true essence

I have always felt a deep connection with animals. I can spend hours observing them, day after day, gaining their trust and getting close enough to capture their true essence.

With experience in animal caretaking at zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, I can provide the photos and footage you need while actively supporting the work in the field. Being part of the project allows me to understand the animals and their environment on a deeper level, which helps create more authentic and compelling stories. I have worked with big cats, bears, wolves, apes, monkeys, and other small mammals.

At first glance, animals may seem to live a life completely different from ours. But if you look closer, you’ll see so much in common. They have struggles, joys, and social structures, some complex, some solitary. They can be fierce in survival, yet gentle and loving with their young. Each animal has its own unique personality, and capturing that individuality is at the heart of my work.

With patience, care, and devotion, I strive to reveal their emotions, behaviors, and personalities in every photograph and video, always with the utmost respect for nature and wildlife.

If my work can make even a small positive difference in the lives of these animals, I would be deeply grateful. Together, we can tell stories that inspire, raise awareness, and make a real impact.

Life as a Wild Cat Caretaker in South Africa

Join me on an unforgettable journey through South Africa, where I spent two months volunteering as one of the main caretakers at a wild cat sanctuary 🐆💚

During this time, I worked closely with some of Africa’s most incredible feline species, including leopards, cheetahs, servals, caracals and African wildcats. Every day was dedicated to caring for them and learning about their unique personalities.

In this vlog series, I take you behind the scenes of daily life as a caretaker. From feeding routines and enclosure cleaning to enrichment activities and quiet moments observing their behaviour, these videos show what it truly means to live and work alongside Africa’s wild cats.

This experience is very close to my heart. The videos offer a raw and honest look at the reality of volunteering in wildlife care; the hard work, the unforgettable encounters and the deep respect these animals deserve.

Follow along, learn more about their individual stories, and discover what drives my passion for these incredible cats.

Zookeeper Internships

To deepen my understanding of animal behaviour and wildlife care, I completed several internships as a zookeeper at a zoo in France. During these internships, I gained hands-on experience working with a wide variety of species, with a particular focus on carnivores such as big cats, bears and wolves, as well as monkeys and small mammals.

My daily responsibilities included preparing and distributing diets, cleaning and maintaining enclosures, providing enrichment and closely observing animal behaviour. These tasks are essential to ensure both the physical and mental wellbeing of animals under human care.

Working closely with these animals allowed me to better understand their individual personalities, social dynamics and natural behaviours. It also taught me the importance of patience, responsibility and respect when working around wildlife.

These experiences gave me a strong foundation in animal care and continue to influence how I approach my work today. They help me photograph wildlife with a deeper understanding of animal behaviour, allowing me to tell more authentic and meaningful stories through my photography
