WILDLIFE

Capturing moments in the extraordinary lives of wild animals,
revealing their personalities, behaviour, and stories

Animals have a way of touching my soul
like no one else can

What I love most about wildlife photography goes far beyond the creative side of taking pictures. For me, it’s about the experience of being fully immersed in nature — hearing the sounds of the forest, breathing in the scent of the bush, watching the sunrise, and witnessing life unfold all around me.

When you spend time observing animals, you begin to notice how much we have in common. Their struggles, their joys, their relationships — everything reflects aspects of our own world. Some live in complex social groups, others prefer solitude. Some are fierce in survival, while others show remarkable care and tenderness toward their young. Each animal has its own personality, and capturing that individuality is what drives my photography and filmmaking.

Through patience, respect, and careful observation, I try to capture moments that reveal these stories — moments that allow people to connect with wildlife in a deeper way.

My wildlife work so far focuses on two different worlds: the vast landscapes and iconic species of Africa, and the small but fascinating creatures that live much closer to home.

African wildlife

From powerful predators like lions and leopards to the many species that share their habitat, Africa’s wildlife is endlessly fascinating. Spending weeks self-driving through Kruger National Park allowed me to immerse myself completely in this landscape, observing animals in their natural environment and documenting their behaviour through photography and film.

Garden wildlife

Wildlife doesn’t only exist in remote wilderness areas. Even a small garden can become a thriving ecosystem. By creating a garden designed with insects and biodiversity in mind, I’ve discovered a hidden world of pollinators, predators, and tiny creatures — a world I explore through macro photography and film.

Conservation

Giving wildlife a voice — sharing the stories of the people, research, and efforts that protect animals and their habitats. My journey in conservation began in 2022, when I was involved in relocating cheetahs in South Africa, and it has since taken me into fieldwork with large carnivores, monitoring projects, and collaborative efforts to understand and protect wildlife. Through photography and film, I document the dedication, challenges, and quiet moments that make conservation meaningful.

Captive wildlife

My wildlife photography journey began in zoos, where I spent many hours observing and photographing animals I had always been fascinated by. These places gave me the opportunity to be close to wildlife and helped me develop my skills as a photographer while learning to recognise animal behaviour and individual personalities.

These early encounters with animals mark the beginning of my journey
as a wildlife storyteller.
