This licence grants you the right to use the purchased photograph as a reference for creating one (1) original artwork, subject to the terms below.
Upon purchase, you will receive a download link to a high-resolution reference photograph, licensed exclusively for use under the Artistic Reference Licence.
Licence pricing structure
This licence is based on the total combined gross sales revenue generated from the resulting artwork, including the original artwork and any reproductions (such as prints, postcards, or merchandise derived from the artwork).
Basic Licence - €75
Allows total combined gross sales revenue up to €1000 per artwork
Advanced Licence - €125
Valid for total combined gross sales revenue from €1000 up to €2500 per artwork
Unlimited Licence €250
Valid for total combined gross sales revenue above €2500 per artwork
Each licence applies to one (1) artwork only. A new licence is required for each additional artwork created from the same photograph.
✅ You are allowed to:
· Use the photograph as reference for creating one original, physical artwork (e.g. painting, drawing, pastel, sculpture, scratchboard, carving, cross-stitch, etc.)
· Sell the resulting artwork
· Display the artwork in exhibitions, galleries and competitions
· License or publish the artwork
· Produce and sell reproductions of the artwork (e.g. prints, postcards, merchandise derived from the artwork)
· Promote and share images of the finished artwork in your portfolio or on social media
❌ You are not allowed to:
· Resell, share, distribute, or make the original photograph available to others in any form
· Use the photograph for commercial purposes as a photograph (digital or print)
· Create or sell digital artworks or digital manipulations derived from the photograph (including tracing, photo-bashing, or AI-based transformations)
· Print the original photograph on merchandise (e.g. mugs, t-shirts, posters)
· Use the original photograph in advertising, websites, blogs, magazines, or promotional materials
· Transfer or resell this licence to another person

When sharing, publishing, or exhibiting the resulting artwork, credit must be given as: “Reference photo by Linda Smit Photography”

The copyright of the original photograph remains at all times with Linda Smit Photography. This licence grants usage rights only as described above and does not transfer ownership of the image.
